Well, just like that and Christmas is gone!!
We had a great Christmas, we went to my parents house for Christmas Eve and had dinner and exchanged gifts with all of my family, then we went and watched Night at the Museum.
We got all the girls in my family tickets to go see the Cheetah Girls concert in Salt Lake City on the 15th. I gave them their tickets in a CD case, When they opened them they were a little confused, because there was no CD, just the ticket. I told them if they didn't understand to turn it over and read the back of the CD, on the back it said exactly what we we're going to be doing from the date, to the concert, to where we are going to stay. Out of all the girls McKayla was the first one to get it, she started to shake and cry as she understood what her present was!!! Marissa was the next to understand then Kierra and then Hailey, and I still think Hailey doesn't fully understand! But, she will when the time comes! It was by far the best present we ever got them!! They will have a memory to last a life time instead of a toy that won't last!!!
On Christmas we stayed home and I cooked a turkey (it was very good!!). Christmas was nice and quite and it went by very fast!
I can't believe it's already Friday, three more days and winter break will be over!!! What was the school district thinking? I think the children deserve two weeks off not one!! They need the break!! I need the break!!

Tracking Santa with NORAD
There's lots of ways to track your relatives' flights in real-time, but there's one jolly fellow in red who doesn't file an official flight plan with the FAA who's a little tougher to track over the holidays. That's right, Santa Claus. Luckily the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has been tracking Santa for us for more than 50 years, and this year's no different.
If you want to track Santa with NORAD click on the Hyperlink below.

Marissa's Goose Egg!
Today while Marissa was in P.E class she was running to get a ball, when she tripped and hit a brick wall with her head. She got a huge goose egg on her forehead!! I think it scared her more than anything! I think it also scared Dan and I just as bad!! Dan called me at work and told me what happened and I ended up leaving because I was so upset!! (It's not everyday I get a call saying Marissa's hurt!) It's very hard when your not there and you don't know what's going on! Marissa's fine, we brought her home from school and she hung out with her Dad. After composing myself I went back to work, and the world is right again!!
We are going to Salt Lake City tommorow to do a little more Christmas shopping and to take Marissa ice skating for the first time! I'm soo excited, it's been along time since I've been myself. We are also going to look at the Christmas lights at the Temple. We are staying at the Plaza, it will be nice because we"ll be right across the street.
We are now on Christmas vacation, Yay!!! One week off, I still think we should have more off. Whatever happened to two weeks? I'm so glad!
We went to see Rocky tonight, all I can say is don't waste your money!! I was so upset how everything played out in the movie! Rocky is a all American movie and they went and destroyed it!! What really got me upset is his wife was killed off from the begining of the movie. What were they thinking? Their love was a classic love story! They were suppose to grow old with each other! Don't even get me started on the last fight!! And in the movie Rocky was driving a Van, HELLO? I get Rocky is an all American guy and he's suppose to be simple but come on!! The Van wasn't even a Chevy!! They could of at least put him in an older Chevy pick-up!!
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Marissa's home with the flu
I'm finally done with school, Whaooo!! For this semester at least! Marissa has spent this whole weekend sick, poor girl! I think she has the flu, not fun!
We where going to go to the Christmas fireworks at Khoury's, I guess not anymore! We will be able to see them from our house, so that will be okay!!
Eight more days until Christmas, and oh, so much more shopping to do!!

I'm so HAPPY!
This evening I'm so HAPPY! I'm all done with my math class and my technology class. After freaking out over my math test all day yesterday (hysterically freaking out!) I turned it into my teacher today and asked her to review it really quick and she said they all looked good! So, did I hear that right, 100%? Yay!!
Thursday is my last class for Diversity, The last thing I have to do in that class is present a multi-cultural book. I like those kind of assignments!
The Elko area is in a shortage for wood pellets. Sure, we finally get a pellet stove and we can't seem to find any pellets! Isn't that the way it usually goes!

The End of the Semester and a Little Venting!
The end of the semester is FINALLY here! Thank-God! I have to do some math homework, a math test and finish one more portfolio and I'll be all done! Yay!!! I'm soo excited my classes are almost done! Twenty credits down and a billion to go! I'll get there one day, hopefully!
Wow, fifteen more days until Christmas. I can't believe it! I did some Christmas shopping today, all the people out was insane. I thought it was the time of the year to be more cheery? I think someone should tell all the rude people out there! I would like to know, What ever happened to good customer service? I swear the teenagers today need to be smacked! (or their parents need it for raising them to be like that) Their so rude!
Marissa only gets a week out of school this year for Christmas vacation, what's that about? I'm very bothered by this! Don't they already work their tails off? I only get a week off of work too, we had to add a week of new curriculum to boot. I say they should have just given the week off to us. What's it all coming to anyways? Time goes by so fast anymore.
We all need to step in the slow pace of life for awhile just to regroup.

Back in the Swing of Things!
This extra long weekend as been soo nice! I don't think I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. It's been nice just to hang out with no obligations. I made it a point to go somewhere yesterday so I could drive my new car. I went to the grocery store and I must say I love all the room in the back. I really like having the hatch back. I still miss my sporty car though!
Tomorrow we have a busy day planned, it's back to our regular routine. I have to work tomorrow since we took Friday off. My Girl Scout troop is going to the festival of trees to hang ornaments on a tree, then I'm taking them to see the movie Happy Feet. It should be fun and busy!
It's suppose to snow tomorrow, oh joy! We haven't set up our Christmas tree yet, Dan has this weekend off, so that's when we are going to do it all. I can't wait!

Black Friday/ A New Car!
Yes, I was one of the crazy people (with my Mom) who got up at the crack of dawn to save a buck on the biggest shopping day of the year! Every year I ask myself the question of the year, "Why do I do this to myself?" I guess I'm a junkie for good deals! I just want to know why a billion other people have to have the same addiction at the same time? I hate dealing with the crowd. Every year though I still find myself crawling out of bed at 3:30 in the morning! I know, It's CRAZY!!! I wonder how much money I really do save?
Today I got a new car, Yay!!! I got a GMC midsized Envoy, I totally love it! It's so cute! It's a pretty silver color. I have to admit though I had a VERY hard time saying good-bye to my Mustang! I honestly thought I was going to cry when they were driving it away! I loved that car! We decided it would be best if I had something with four wheel drive since I drive over the summit a billion times. I had a couple good scares last winter with my Mustang; I know having that car is not worth Marissa's safety or mine. Watch, now that I have a SUV it won't snow this winter, that would be my luck!

November
November is going by to fast! Don't you all agree? I realized Turkey Day is next week, WOW!
I'm just trying to stay above water with my school work, that time seems to just fly! The semester is almost over, Yay!!
We went and watched Santa Claus the movie this weekened and I thought it was to early to see it, but I guess it's really not.
Marissa has a Santa list already filled out. She went through SEVERAL magazines and cut out pictures of what she wants. What happened to the old fashioned Santa list when you write it out? I'm suprised it's not typed with clip art in it for heaven sakes!!

Gardener Village/ Frightmares

Last weekend we went to Salt Lake City to get away from the hustle and bustle of things. We had a great time there. On Friday we went to Gardener Village, they always have it decorated for Halloween. It was really cute! They have witches every where! They also have a petting zoo, Marissa really enjoyed that. Saturday we did some shopping and went to Lagoon that night for Frightmares. On Saturday after Lagoon we took Dan out for his Birthday at the Macaroni Grill, Yummy! Can you belief he's 32! What a old man!! Sunday before we came home we went out to lunch with my aunt Lisa and my cousin Travis; it's always nice to see family.

My Favorite Witches!

Saturday night we went to a spook walk in Carlin at the Chinese Gardens. They had a haunted walk and kids games. It was put on by non-profit organizations (which I like). The kids had fun dressing up and playing all the games.

Basketball

This was Marissa's first basketball game. It's pretty easy to find her! She her? She's the one holding the basketball that looks like the sore thump sticking out. She thought that it was imperative that she wore the blue shirt. I tried to explain to her that she had to wear a white shirt and that it was part of her uniform. I finally decided the white shirt wasn't a battle worth battling! She finally understood when we showed up and all the girls had WHITE shirts on! Regardless it was a very cute game!!! Even without the white shirt!!

Balloon Festival

Weeks ago Marissa and I went to the hot air balloon festival to watch the balloons launch. I thought it was so neat. At one time we were completely surrounded by balloons on the ground being put up. It was the neatest thing! I guess that made up for having to get up at soo early!

Making hoops/ Taste of Home
Marissa had a basketball game on Saturday, she played very well! She made one hoop, but tried several times. I think she was so caught up in the game she was not concetrating on the shots.
Tonight I went to the Taste of Home Cooking School with my Mom, Mindy and my neighbor Jen. We had a great time!! It's always fun to go and listen to all the ladies that are there. I always get a good laugh! The food and wine tasting is always good to! I really wanted to win somthing! No such luck! I guess there's always next year.
I can't believe we're already in October!! WOW!! Marissa is already excited about Halloween. She wants to be a pirate, I think that's a cute idea! I think I want to dress up as a pirate too, but I can't find one that's appropriate enough to where in my classroom.
Dan's birthday is on the 21st. He's going to be 32! What a old man!!! I think we are going to go out of town that weekend to go to frightmares at Lagoon. I can't wait to get out of dodge!!
I love this time of year!! I love everything about it! (except for the homework!!!!)

New Lap top/Busy Week!!
I got a new lap top on Saturday! We were having trouble getting it up and running, it was all due to a bad modem. I'm so glad it's working now!! Dan and I spent hours trying to fix it between our schedules. But, couldn't figure it out. We had someone come and look at it today; all it was was the modem!!
This week as been very busy! Dan started his new schedule and it's a pretty nasty schedule.
I had my first math test on Monday, YUCK!! I did pretty good though. I've also had tons of homework due. It seems like the weeks go by so fast. I don't have any time to think about it.
Marissa has dance and basketball practice tonight so I need to jump off here and get my work done!!

Indian Blood or Cowboy Blood?
Marissa said the cutest thing to me the other day she said "Mom, What kind of blood do I have?' I got really excited when she said that and thought that we were going to have a deep conversation about diversity and before I could say anything else she said "Do I have Indian blood or Cowboy blood?" I thought that was the funniest thing she has ever said to me!! After I had my laugh we still had a deep conversation about diversity and her back ground.
It's soo cold here in Elko!! Did we skip Fall? We have our furnace already running! We are planning on buying a pellet stove and thought we had plenty of time before the cold weather hit, no such luck!
Does anyone even read these blogs? Or do my postings go into cyberspace unread??

Dan has been taking her to the park every night to practice with her. She's getting so old!! I can't believe it! I will most definitely take my camera for pictures!!
It's late, I have to work tomorrow. Good night! I'm going to sleep!!

He will be working for SMD (Small Mine Development), It's a contract job. The job has it's perk's, like the money! But, because it's contract work it could end tommorow. I hope every thing works out!

Home Sick
Today, Marissa and I are home sick. We woke up yesterday with the yuckies!! I'm hoping that they won't stay around for long. I drank four cups of airborne yesterday. But, my cold refused to go away! Usually airborne works, I must have drank it to late! Tis' the season for being sick!! It never fails we always get sick the first couple of weeks of school.

Camron's birthday was on Saturday. Camron turned seven, can you believe it?! He had his party at pizza barn, of course it was Superman! Superman is the "IN" hero right now. I made his cake, it was Superman's "S" sign on his shirt. He loved it!
Happy Birthday Camron!!

Labor Day Weekend
This weekend our family went to Lamiolle canyon for a picnic. It was nice except for all the dang bees! It's been awhile since the whole fam has gotten together so it was nice.
I've spent the rest of this weekend doing homework-Yuck!! I thought I would get one last weekend before all the hustle and bustle started, no such luck!
I'm taking Technology in the Classroom this semester and I'm really excited about it. I'm hoping to learn alot about computers. I already learned a lot just on the first night.
Tonight me and Marissa are going to have movie night at home. It will be nice to have a quiet evening.
Good-Night!!

Painting, Kayla's Birthday And My Sanity Lost!
This weekend we spent most of our time helping Bill and Jen paint there house. It looks so nice. I'm so happy for them. Tonight we had a BBQ with them, as a thank you for our help. It was yummy. I'm starting to feel the pain tonight. I'm sure I will be feeling it tomorrow.
Today is Mckayla's Birthday! She's ten going on thirteen. She had her birthday party at Floyds pizza place last night. She's so proud to be ten. She keep saying "guess what? I'm ten." She also keep saying that she is a double digit now. I thought it was pretty funny. She had a dolphin themed party. I made her a cute dolphin cake. I will post some pics of it soon.
tomorrow, my college classes start. Tomorrow, I lose my sanity!! I'm taking eleven credits. It's three classes and two weekend classes. I don't know how I'm going to survive!! I took two classes last year, for each semester and I was barely hanging on. It's hard to keep everything straight.

It's that time again, School!

Marissa finished her first week of school. She was very nervous on the first day. I felt bad when we left her because she looked like she was going to cry. She ended up being fine though. She likes her teacher and she has made some new friends. She was upset because the teacher has tables in her classroom instead of desks. She thinks third graders should get desks. I would have to agree with her. Last year she was able to have desks. You can't expect to give them the taste of something new then take it away.
When we were driving her to school, I found myself getting teary eyed. She's getting so BIG!! I can't believe she's in third grade.

Happy Birthday Hailey

Hailey's Birthday was on August 18th. I can't believe she's 4! How time flies!! She had a Jo-Jo circus birthday party. It was so cute Mindy made her a cake. It was supose to be a circus tent, but never quit got there. It's cute any how. Haiely loved it. She had a swim/ slumber party. We bought her a sky dancer and a snow cone machine. I have a snow cone machine and she asks me every time she's at my house for one so I thought she would really like one. When she was opening it she pulled out a bottle of snow cone syrup and she said "ahh beer"! The other guest must of thought, WOW!!

Boating and school shopping!!
We went boating with Mindy and Jeff and the girls on Wednesday in there new boat. We all had a great time. Jeff bought beginner skies for the girls. Kierra got up on them, it was way CUTE!! I brought my camera but the batteries were dead, I was so bummed!! Hailey didn't want to try. She keep saying "maybe another day." All wells, she is only four. Marissa tried. She tried and she tried, to get up with all her might but couldn't do it. I told her not to worry, she will get it!! I told her it took me three summer's to finally get up!
Two more weeks until school starts, I can't believe it! Yesterday we went school shopping. Marissa got a lot of really cute clothes! I was surprised she didn't pick out no skirts or dresses. She got two pairs off baby phat boots. A purple pair and a pink pair. There way CUTE!! She can't wait to wear them.
I start work on Monday, it really has gone to fast!! This is my last weekend of summer vacation!!

Lucky or not Lucky?
Our cat lucky, has been down on his luck! When we got back from camp we noticed he wasn't his loving usual self. We couldn't pick him up or pet him without him growling at us. He was just laying around sleeping all day. We noticed he wasn't using his right leg to walk all the way. Everytime I would try to look at it he would get mad. Dan took him to the vet and the vet told him he either had torn tissue in his leg(from a jump) or the start of leukemia. Yes, leukemia! Well, After $130.00 dollars(for x-rays) and after a week, the cats FINE!! In fact he just ran past the room!! Did I mention, after a $130.00 dollars, he's fine?! I still can't figure out if he's lucky or not!!
I still haven't down loaded my pics to the computer, hopefully soon. I will post pics of camp when I do.

Closer to the end!
Friday I realized I have a week left of my summer vacation. Then it's back to work and school! I also realized I haven't done have the things that I have wanted to do on my break! Like organize my computer room and all my preschool stuff, make a eye appointment (because I'm blind. I can't handle it any longer!), scrapbooking, and go on a overnight hike up Lamoille Canyon.
Well, with a week left and counting I decided I better get busy! So on Friday I pulled all my scrapbooking stuff out and I've been scrapbooking for three days straight! (Did you notice of the list of things to do, I choose the one that wouldn't take a lot of effort!!) I'm scrapbooking my school years. I'm almost done with it. I think going through all the stuff I keep over the years was more time consuming then anything! The hardest part was trying to remember why I keep the things that I did! I'm sure at the time I thought they were sentimental. PLEASE!! I had a laugh at going down the road of high school! All I have to say is what was I thinking!!? I was almost embarrassed to scrapbook some of my formal pictures! What was I thinking? Those dresses were hideous! Peach should be outlawed at proms! I felt sorry for my date! It's just not right! What a bargain for my Mom though she found that dress on clearance! I wonder why??
As I was looking at all my pictures I realized how long it has been! WOW!! It sure isn't the reflection that I see in the mirror today! I guess that's not always a bad thing either! I can't belief how young both Dan and I look in some of those pictures. I found some pictures of a Def Lepard concert that we went to with our friends, I sure do miss them! Even though it was in 1993, it sure made me feel old and made me think of the song 1985!! It doesn't help that Marissa sings that song to me all the time! Someday, when she's a little older, say Thirty. She'll understand!!
I hope to someday share my scrapbook with all who cover the pages inside!!

Jenn
My neighbor Jennifer watched our house and cats while we were gone. When I came home from camp, I came home to a clean house and all of my laundry done. Every time I turn around I discover something new she did! Not to mention she mowed our huge yard not once but twice. I love her to pieces! She's so caring and thoughtful! She left us a sweet note on the counter telling us to get some rest after our trip.
It's been a long time since I have made friends with a true friend!

Summers end!
WOW! The summer seems to be flying by! We've been so wrapped up in summer activities I haven't had a chance to blog! Marissa and I just got back from girl scout camp yesterday. We both feel asleep at 4:00 in the afternoon and sleep almost all through the night. I got up for a little bit when Dan got home and ate with him then I went to sleep again. We were very tired!! My troop and I had a great time!! We have many funny story's to tell and some not so funny story's to tell! I won't mention the not so funny story's like the one about someone stealing my underwear and hanging them up on a post by the bathroom for EVERYONE to see!! I will find out who you are!! Pay backs!! That's all I have to say about that!!!!
Before we went to camp we went to Lagoon and to the Peck's family reunion. We had a great time. We didn't enjoy the heat though! On one of the nights we were at Lagoon we went to bed at 12:30 and it was 84 degrees! Needless to say we didn't get that much sleep!! We were wishing we had our camper! I haven't downloaded my pictures from my camera yet, when I do I will post the pictures.
I'm off to go to bed I'm still sooo tired! I have bonco tomorrow at my house. I'm so not ready!!

4th of July

We went to the Spring Creek Marina for family fun day, where they had some old fashion 4th of July fun! The SpringCreek association put it on, the kids had a great time! They had a cake walk, pie eating contest, watermelon contest, face painting, and a petting zoo. The kids did the pie eating contest (which was pretty funny!) they actually gave them whole pies! I'm surprised nobody had upset tummy's!! They all got prizes for participating, I thought that was neat!

Fire Season
The fire season is upon us again, this is suppose to be the worst fire season we have seen around here in awhile! We have had dry thunderstorms for about five days now. The first one on Sunday caused several fires around the area, including one at the fire and science academy (how ironic is that?). This fire closed down I-80 for several hours on Monday and we didn't think Dan was going to be able to come home from work that night. They did get the fire contained and was able to re-opened the freeway. The fires have threatened our water supply and electricity. It's been kinda scary this week. We've been mostly indoors, trying to stay out of the smoke. Marissa is not feeling well today, I think it's from her asthma.
I'm glad to say this evening the smoke has been clearing up and the water ban was lifted this afternoon.
There's a ban on all open flames or anything that might cause a fire state wide. I'm kinda wondering if Elko will do the fire works on the 4th of July. I think at this point it's risky.

What's "Jose" Mom?
Marissa said the cutest thing today. She said "Mom, what's Jose?" I sat there for a minute stumped and said, "What do you mean, "Jose"? She said "Yeah, What does it mean when someone says "Jose"? I sat there, (still stumped) and I said "Well, Jose is a name, is that what you mean?" She said "No, it's when someone says it with something else. But, I can't remember how it goes." I said (after I had a laugh to myself), "Do you mean when someone says "No way Jose!" Marissa said "Yeah, That's it!

The Weekend
Yesterday McKayla and Camron spent the night, it was Mike's and Amanda's anniversary and they went out of town for the night. We had a great time with the kids! We gave them lots and lots of sugar before we returned them! They swam and rode their bikes most of yesterday. Last night we had a BBQ with our neighbors, Camron enjoyed playing with the boys. Today we went out to the Lamoile fair. It's my favorite thing to do in the summer! I look forward to it all year long. I love everything about it! The crafts, the food, the crafts and the scenery. Did I mention the crafts? I got a very cute wreath to hang in the bathroom and a cute rustic star to go with my Americana decor in the frontroom! I love them!!!!!! I could have spent a lot more! But, I controlled myself! Hey, I have to pace myself. Art in the park is coming up in a couple of weeks! My second favorite thing.
Dan is outside preparing to paint the deck, I don't think he's going to be able to though, a storm is moving in! I didn't really want to paint today anyways, it's topping 94 degrees outside! It's to HOT!Posted by Cheri at 6:55 PM 0 comments

First Day of Summer!
We spent most of the day outside swimming today! One of Marissa's favorite things to do. Another favorite thing is her cats! This is one of her cats, Lucky. He got his name because we found him at the hospital under Mindy's hood of her car. Marissa insisted that we keep him. He's a lucky cat, when we found him he was in pretty bad shape. He was very dirty and looked like he hadn't eaten or drank anything for awhile. He's been such a good cat, he's very cuddly! We love him!! I think he's a keeper!

Fathers Day

On Fathers Day we all went up to Lamoile Canyon and had a BBQ. It was really nice and peaceful. Good food too! The kids had fun playing in the stream. Marissa thought she was so cool because she got to ride on Pa-pa's Harley. Marissa loves his motorcycle! She even had him pick her up on Saturday, during the motorcycle jamboree and had him take her into town. She loved every minute!!
We went and watched the second Garfield after the BBQ. It was alot like the first one, slow!! Marissa liked it though, that's all that matters.

Motorcycle Jamboree and the Tesla Concert
This weekend was the motorcycle jamboree. It was a great time. I think it gets bigger every year. I've never seen so many motorcycles in my life!! Saturday we went to a Tesla concert and then went out dancing afterwards. Telsa was okay, it was nice to get dressed up and go out. We all had a great time! Every year the jamboree amazes me! People actually sell jello shots on the streets. I wonder if that's legal? They would most defiantly have to have a license to sell liquor! Regardless, they were yummy! I think Mindy was their best costumer! I wonder who they will bring in next year? I would post pictures, but the camera didn't go with the outfit! I didn't want to look like a tourist!!

Swim lessons and rainy days
Marissa started swim lessons yesterday. She was very excited to go, she loves to swim! The last two days I have been meaning to take my camera to take pictures, but I get rushed and leave without it. I'll try again tomorrow.
The weather is terrible right now. It's getting ready to rain, the wind is blowing and the dark clouds are rolling in. I love when it rain's on a hot summer day. It smells so good! I feel sorry for Marissa though. She's been wanting to go outside all day. I haven't broke the news to her that it's suppose to rain for the next three days. I'm glad her classes are early in the morning since it usually rains late afternoon.
I'll try and remember to take my camera tomorrow, so I can post some pics!

School's Out For Summer
Yesterday was the last day of school for Marissa, yah-Who!! SUMMER!! She's so excited! She did very well on her report card, we are so proud of her. She thinks her stuff don't stink because she's a big third grader now! I think differently!
We went to see Cars the movie last night, it was so cute! Marissa and I went with Mindy, Jeff and the girls. Dan was at work, he had to miss out.
Marissa finally got to swim in the swimming pool today. It's been raining since Wednesday, so she hasn't been able to swim. She's been driving us nuts about it.
Let the LAZZZY Days begin!!!

A Hiking We Will Go!
Saturday we went hiking in Lamoille Canyon. We had a great time! We hiked Thomas Canyon this time. It was sensational! I think Marissa is ready to go!
We followed this waterfall all the way to the top. It was very pretty. Hey, Marissa you have bunny ears!

We went through SNOW to finish our hike. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering the Ruby mountains are glaciers. It was a great hike! We saw beaver dam's on the way up, Marissa cracked me up. She said to me "Wow, those are huge dam's, those beavers must be rich! They have a huge house! I wonder how many people are in there family? Do you think that is their town?"

Let Me Catch You Up!!
If you've noticed that I haven't blogged for awhile it's because we've been busy doing home projects. We got new carpet last week. We also have been re-doing the bathroom, it looks soo nice! I love the carpet to! Last week was also Mindy's graduation our Anniversary and I had both of my preschool class graduations. It was so sad! I didn't cry at the first one but, the second one I did. I think it was because Kierra was in that class. I didn't cry until I got to her name and was reading her graduation award! Then I realized it was over. I loved having her in my class!! Thursday was my last day of work. I'm out for the summer now! Marissa has two more weeks until she's out. What am I going to do with myself? I will have some free time to myself! I don't remember the last time I had that!!! It will be nice!! Dan is switching crews tomorrow, I'm upset about it because on this crew he only has two days off a month with my Dad. Couldn't they have waited until fall?!!

It was nice just to hang out and relax! It's so peaceful up there! Time goes by so fast!! I can't believe it's been 11 years!! WOW!!

We're still here!!
Hi everyone! WOW! I have not blogged for a while! We've been pretty busy around here. I just finished my last class for the semester last night! Yahoo!!!! I had a thematic unit due that I literally have been working on day and night for the past week. I'm sooo glad I got it done, it was a big accomplishment. It was also my final grade for the class. I'm proud to say I got a A+ in the class! I did my thematic unit on "Humpty Dumpty", needless to say I don't want to look at another egg for awhile.
Marissa had a dance recital last weekend it was way cute! She danced with two other girls to the song "In The Navy Now". They wore little sailor costumes, she looked adorable! I will post some pictures this weekend. Dan has been keeping busy remodeling our bathroom, it's been a night mare of a job! Thank god he's almost done! He has come across every problem you could think of! Including, Him and my Dad getting hurt. My Dad blew the top of his finger out and a close scare of thinking he broke his leg, Ouch!! Dan cut his knuckle pretty good and couldn't get it to stop bleeding, it was almost a e.r visit. (I still think he needed stiches but he refused to go, the big tough guy!) Yes, this all happened in the bathroom! Not to mention we lost water for awhile, and I couldn't take a shower! I was not happy!!Posted by Cheri at 10:06 PM 0 comments

Where's spring?
I just can't help not to mention that we woke up to snow (yes, snow) this morning!! Isn't it suppose to be spring? I can handle rain but snow?! Come on!! I think mother nature is confused! Anyone else agree? This weekend the snow forecast has been the talk of the town. Will it snow or not on Monday? Well, I think we most definitely got our answer! What I would like to no is "Will it ever be spring?" I guess it will happen in it's own time.

Easter

Easter day started off at 6:oo a.m, due to a very excited girl that couldn't stay in her bed any longer! She was so excited that the Easter bunny had come to her. We spent the day at Grandma's and Pa-Pa's. They did a Easter egg hunt for the kids, then we had dinner. I made the cake with the Easter bunny on it, we were all joking around because the bunny fell off the cake and the only thing left of it was the bow tie, we have a theory it committed suicide because all the kids wanted to eat it. The kids all looked cute! My mom bought the girls their Easter dresses, they were very cute! It reminded me of cotton candy! The colors were so pretty!!
