Date Night

Last night was date night. Me and Dan went to the movies and out to dinner. Marissa stayed the night at her aunt's house. It was a very nice break! The movie we watched was Firewall, It was OK. I think I would have rather gone to a chick flick though. Then I was wined and dined at wingers. Whoa - Who!! Marissa wanted to go out on a date with her daddy! She asked me on Thursday if I was going to bonco( on bonco nights they go out on a date). I told her no. She seemed not to be upset. I told her that it was our turn to go on a date. Well, on Friday Dan informed me that he was going to take Marissa out since I had bonco. I told him that I didn't. You can guess were he got his info from! She can be very sneaky at times. She told him that I would be gone! That stinker!!! Dan is such a good dad! Marissa is going to have such high expectations of men when she' s older. On Valentines Day he took a rose to her school and gave it to her in front of her classroom. He told her that the rose he was giving her represented the rose before she was born. (when I was pregnant I received a dozen red roses on Valentines Day with one pink one that represented her) When she got home from school he gave her a bouquet of roses, one for each year that she's been alive. It was very sweet. I told him Wow, does this mean I get a bouquet of thirty roses? I'm not complaining though! If he treats out daughter like that, imagine how he treats me. He's wonderful!
